Welcome to the Crosstown Camera Club

Are you getting serious about photography and searching for a group with which to share and develop that interest? Then why not join us at our next meeting? After all, that’s the best way to see if our camera club is right for you. Visiting will give you a chance to see what our club meetings are like and to talk to some of our members and ask any questions you might have. In a nutshell, the Crosstown Camera Club offers you a chance to:

  • learn new photographic techniques
  • socialize with other photographers
  • enter monthly digital image and print competitions
  • hear speakers at monthly programs
  • show your photographs to others
  • learn from judges who critique all competition entries
  • join members on photo shoots

Print Salon: “Tracks” — This topic can be widely interpreted. We’ll leave it up to the photographer to define and “sell” what “Tracks” means to them.

2012 PSA Mpls-St Paul Print Circuit Entries Due

International Competition!

The Minneapolis – St. Paul Print Circuit is a 6 show, 4 division exhibition circuit closing February 1, 2012. – enter up to 16 total images (4 in each category.)

$15 entry fee

Last year around 1,400 images were entered from people all over the world. This is a great opportunity to have your work judged against some of the finest photography in the world, in addition to a impressive display of images during the two days and two evenings of judging. Members are invited to attend judging days as either volunteers or observers.

Each show will award the following medals:

COLOR Class A (max size – 16×20 including mounts)

  • 1 PSA Gold Best of Show medal
  • 6 Judges Choice medals
  • 1 Camera Council medal for Best Ice, Water or Snow

MONOCHROME Class A (max size – 16×20 including mounts)

  • 1 PSA Gold Best of Show medal
  • 6 Judges Choice medals
  • 1 Camera Council “Mark Kempenich” medal for Best Portrait

MONOCHROME Class B and COLOR Class B (max size – 8 1/2 x 12 including mounts)

  • 1 PSA Gold Best of Show medal
  • 3 Judges Choice medals
The sponsors of this International Exhibition of Photography have been awarded Recognition by PSA, the World’s largest patron of International photographic exhibitions. Acceptances received by PSA members in approved sections of this exhibition are eligible for PSA Star Ratings, listing in the worldwide PSA Who’s Who of photography, and credited toward the PSA Distinctions PPSA and EPSA. PSA is a non profit organization promoting the advancement of photography in all its forms to novice, amateur and professional photographers worldwide.

2012 Interclub Competition

What is the Interclub Individual competition?
Members of all the Twin Cities camera clubs (within the Camera Council) are invited to enter up to 20 images to be judged against their fellow photographers. Enter your images to compete against ALL your fellow camera club photographers in the Twin Cities area.

Awards will be presented at 6PM on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 at the 2012 Spring Break

Categories are as follows:

  • Print – Color – 4 prints allowed for entry
  • Print – Monochrome – 4 prints allowed for entry
  • Digital – Realistic – 4 jpg images allowed for entry
  • Digital – Nature – 4 jpg images allowed for entry
  • Digital – Contemporary (Creative) – 4 jpg images allowed for entry

Alternately, Crosstown Camera Club members can drop off their entries (prints & CDs) in the CCC Salon drop-off site at the Edina Art Center prior to NOON,  Saturday, February 18th.
