2010 Interclub Club Competition

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Congrats to all Crosstown Camera Club members who received recognition at the Spring Break Interclub Competition!

Bill Cooper, Cynthia Fleury, Ethan Cooper, Geoff Kuchera, Holly Kuchera, John Olson, Lars Micheals and Mark Karney all walked away with awards*

And a bigger congrats to the club for receiving 2nd place in the Club Competition — 234 points!

*(If there’s anyone we missed, please accept our apologies – it was a LONG day!)

———————————————————————————————————–
In 2010 a new contest was created by the Camera Council to replace the old way of awarding points to clubs based on points garned by their members. This was the Interclub Club Competition:

“For the club entry, a club can submit up to twenty images. The club score (and ranking) will be determined by the total score of those twenty images. A maximum total score for a club would be 300 points.

The club must collect the images from their members and submit them as a single package. For clubs with more than 25 members (as determined by their report and fee to TCACCC), only one image by any one member may be used in the club entry. For clubs with less than 25 members (as determined by their report and fee to TCACCC), up to two images by any one member may be used in the club entry (it is suggested that as many members as possible be represented in the club entry).

How the club selects the twenty images is to be determined by each club. Images can be the same images as submitted by the member for the individual portion of the Interclub competition. However, a member who belongs to more than one TCACCC club cannot submit the same image for more than one club entry.”

The 20 images that were chosen for Crosstown’s entry:

6 images the were only cut because of the 20 images rule:

Thanks to everyone for participating in the first club competition. We received images from 26 members and selected the final 20 from the images attached. I’ll let the club know how we did next month when we find out the results. — Mark Karney

Please read the rules below for your entries!
